Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo's life story is a remarkable testament to resilience, intellect, and unwavering commitment. His journey, spanning from a humble beginning in Ibadan to the pinnacles of Nigeria's economic, financial, and religious leadership, is truly inspiring.

Born in Latoyo's compound, Oritamerin, Ibadan, in 1945, Oladejo's early education began at Islamic Mission School, Odoye in 1953. His foundational years instilled in him a thirst for knowledge.

His academic path led him through the Muslim Teachers' Training College, Surulere, Lagos, where he excelled as Senior Prefect. This early leadership role hinted at his future impact.

Oladejo's pursuit of higher education took him to the University of Lagos. There, he earned a Second Class Upper Degree in Economics in 1975, supported by a Federal Government scholarship.

Recognizing his academic brilliance, the Federal Government further sponsored his Master's in Development Economics at Boston University, USA, which he completed in 1980.

Upon his return, Alhaji Oladejo became a pivotal Planning Officer in the Ministry of National Planning. He contributed significantly to Nigeria's economic forecasting and planning.

His transition to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1983 marked a new chapter. As Head of Research, he championed private sector advocacy and documented the Chamber's history.

A defining moment came in 1989 when he joined The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). He spearheaded its modernization, overseeing the revolutionary Automated Trading System (ATS).

Rising to Deputy Director-General and Chief Operating Officer by 2000, Oladejo retired in 2003 after 14 years of transformative service, leaving an indelible mark on the capital markets.

In retirement, he continued to contribute, serving on boards like Sigma Pensions Ltd, where he guided the company to become a market leader. He also founded Mountain Investment and Securities Ltd.
