A major controversy has erupted in Nasarawa State, Nigeria, as the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Karu Area Council, has strongly condemned Christ Embassy for allegedly unlawfully converting Muslim minors during a recent youth program. The event, titled "Young, Bold & Dynamic" and held on May 26, 2025, by the Youth and Teens Ministry, Abuja Zone 2 of Christ Embassy, is at the center of this heated dispute.

According to a press release from MSSN leaders Rufai Ismail (Amir) and Ahmed Musa Ladan (General Secretary), the program was initially presented as an academic and youth empowerment initiative. However, it was later exposed as an evangelical Christian gathering that reportedly targeted and converted Muslim students, many of whom are minors, without the essential knowledge or consent of their parents or guardians.

The MSSN stated that such actions are a direct violation of Section 38(1) of the Nigerian Constitution, which guarantees freedom of religion and protection from any form of coercion in matters of faith. This constitutional safeguard is crucial in a diverse nation like Nigeria, where religious freedom is a fundamental right.

In response to these serious allegations, the MSSN immediately convened an emergency meeting and established a fact-finding committee. They have since lodged a formal petition with the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, sending copies to various Islamic organizations, traditional leaders, and relevant security agencies.

Furthermore, the MSSN leadership has called for the immediate and absolute protection of Aishatu Ahmadu Sulaiman, the individual credited with bringing this incident to light. They emphasized that her safety and well-being must be guaranteed by security agencies, ensuring she faces no threats or harm for her courageous actions.

The MSSN has expressed gratitude for the support received from various stakeholders and urged the public to remain calm while they pursue justice through legal and constitutional channels. Their statement concluded with a firm commitment: "No stone will be left unturned in holding the organisers of this deceptive and harmful event accountable for their actions. The safety and dignity of our children must never be compromised."
