The United Nations special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories has made a strong call for nations, organizations, and individuals worldwide to cut all ties with Israel. Speaking at the Gaza Tribunal in London, Francesca Albanese urged the global community to act according to international law and stop supporting violations against the Palestinian people.

The Gaza Tribunal is a two-day event that gathers experts, activists, and witnesses to examine war crimes and human rights violations in Gaza. The discussions highlighted the urgent need for accountability, justice, and the protection of innocent civilians who continue to suffer under Israeli military actions.

Albanese stressed that international law requires governments, corporations, charities, and even private individuals not to engage with Israel as long as violations continue. According to her, respecting these obligations is the only way to bring an end to decades of oppression faced by Palestinians.

She further emphasized that Israel's actions are not isolated incidents but part of a clear and increasing pattern of violations. For decades, Palestinians have faced displacement, occupation, and systematic denial of their rights, which must no longer be ignored by the global community.

The UN rapporteur reminded states that silence or inaction is itself a violation of responsibility. Every country has a duty to ensure that crimes against humanity are stopped, and those responsible are held accountable.

The Gaza Tribunal aims to keep international attention on the crisis, demanding justice for victims and urging immediate action to protect human rights in Palestine.
