The Hisbah Board in Kano State has declared a complete ban on all forms of sports betting in the state.

Dr. Mujaheed Aminuddeen, Deputy Commander-General of the board, announced the re-launchment of "Operation flush out immorality" to combat individuals and groups violating social order.

Dr Mujaheed announced arrests for landlords renting apartments to unknown individuals and new regulations prohibiting tinted vehicles, especially at night, for courtship.

The law prohibits street begging, and female beggars found outside late into the night will be arrested, as well as those in tricycles after 10pm.

Dr. Mujaheed warned parents to monitor their children, especially females, to prevent misconduct and warned of severe penalties for violating these rules.
