A victim of the 2022 Abuja-Kaduna train attack, Comrade MB Muhammad, shared a surprising encounter with one of his abductors at a local mosque in Kaduna State, where he had gone to perform prayers.

The media personality noticed a familiar face among worshippers at the Shema Filling Station mosque in Bakin Ruwa area, prompting him to approach the individual after prayers and ask if he was recognised.

The man confessed to being among the kidnappers, claiming he had repented and abandoned the life. He now earns a living as a commercial motorcycle rider to provide for his family. The former kidnapper also revealed that some gang members had been killed, while others had turned a new leaf.

This revelation highlighted the complexities of the situation and the paths individuals take. Comrade MB chose to forgive the man, letting go of the past and praying for his well-being. "I forgave him and wished him well," he said, demonstrating a remarkable display of compassion and forgiveness.
