Are you following truth or tradition? For sincere Christians willing to engage in deep reflection, here are 20 honest questions. These aren't meant to attack faith, but to encourage thinking beyond emotion and inherited beliefs, aligning with John 8:32: "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Examining Jesus's Divinity and Attributes:

1.  Did Jesus ever explicitly state, "I am God, worship me"? If not, why is this belief held?
2.  How can an all-knowing, all-powerful God be "killed" or "die" on a cross? Who managed the universe during those three days?
3.  Why does the Bible declare, "God is not a man" (Numbers 23:19), if Jesus is considered God?
4.  Can something genuinely be 100% God and 100% man simultaneously without logical contradiction? Is this concept coherent?
5.  Is believing in a man as God not a form of idolatry, effectively worshipping the creation rather than the Creator?

Questioning the Trinity and God's Oneness:

6.  Given that the term "Trinity" is absent from the Bible, where did this central concept originate?
7.  The Old Testament strongly emphasizes God's absolute oneness (e.g., Deuteronomy 6:4). Was the Trinity hidden for thousands of years?
8.  If Jesus was God, why did he pray to God? Was he praying to himself?
9.  When Jesus referred to "the Father," who was he addressing if he was "God in the flesh"?
10. Jesus stated, "The Father is greater than I" (John 14:28). If the Trinity posits equality, why is one depicted as greater?
11. If Jesus was fully God, why did he not know the hour of the Day of Judgment (Mark 13:32)? Can an all-knowing God lack knowledge?

Salvation, Sacrifice, and Biblical Interpretation:

12. Why is Christian salvation based on the murder of an innocent man (Jesus) for others' sins? Is this concept of justice and morality sound?
13. Does a loving God truly require a blood sacrifice for forgiveness? Couldn't He simply forgive, as seen in the Old Testament?
14. If salvation is by faith alone, why did Jesus instruct obedience to commandments for eternal life (Matthew 19:17)?
15. Why do many Christians appear to prioritize Paul's teachings over Jesus's? Jesus taught strict monotheism and obedience, while Paul emphasized grace and faith over law.

Challenges to New Testament Authenticity and Denominational Diversity:

16. Why do numerous biblical scholars and historians question the authenticity and authorship of significant New Testament books?
17. How can a book written decades after Jesus, by anonymous authors, be accepted as God's infallible Word without scrutiny?
18. If the Bible is "clear" and guided by the Holy Spirit, why do over 30,000 Christian denominations exist?
19. If Jesus's mission was specifically for the "lost sheep of Israel" (Matthew 15:24), why do Gentiles claim his message is for them?
20. Would Jesus recognize contemporary Christianity with its various rituals, holidays, and beliefs as his original, true message? Would he be surprised by its divergence?

Final Reflection:

"Truth does not fear questioning. Only falsehood requires blind faith." If these questions provoke thought, embrace it. Genuine faith often begins
