French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has strongly criticized the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), calling its militarized aid system "a bloodbath, scandalous and shameful." His remarks came after meeting with Cyprus' foreign minister.

Barrot urged an immediate end to GHF's operations, which are reportedly backed by the US and Israel. He claimed the aid setup has led to mass civilian deaths during food distribution in Gaza.

According to the UN, over 1,000 Palestinians seeking food have been killed since May, mostly near heavily armed GHF distribution centers run by a US firm led by ex-CIA and military personnel.

While GHF denies blame, saying the worst incidents occurred near other convoys, Israel admitted its forces caused harm but promised better instructions. Israel also accused Hamas of stealing aid, which Hamas denies.

The UN found little proof of aid theft but confirmed starvation levels. France plans to fly in 40 tons of aid with Jordan's help.

Cyprus still holds 1,200 tons of unused aid from a halted 2024 US sea route, awaiting safer conditions for delivery to Gaza.
