During a Sallah visit to the Kano Government House on Sunday, June 8, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II was accidentally struck on the head. The incident happened while he was addressing the audience.

A video of the moment quickly went viral online, sparking rumors that the Emir had been stoned by someone in the crowd. Many people reacted with concern and confusion.

Later, it was confirmed that the object was not a stone but a drone. Witnesses said the drone lost control because its battery ran low and it crashed near the Emir by mistake.

The drone operator, Salim Ameenu, explained everything in a statement on Monday, June 9. He apologized and said he never meant for the drone to come so close.

He said the crash happened while filming the Emir's speech during Hawan Nasarawa. The drone simply fell out of control.

Despite the accident, Emir Sanusi calmly continued his speech, showing great courage and calmness.
