Arab nations have united to call for an end to the growing violence in Gaza and the West Bank, urging the global community to adopt the Arab Peace Initiative as the only workable path to peace. This call came during the final day of a major United Nations conference on the two-state solution held in New York.

The Arab League, speaking through a representative, blamed the ongoing occupation for the deepening crisis. "Palestinians are paying the price with their blood," he said. He emphasized that the current situation reflects the failure to respect basic international laws and human dignity.

Oman and members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) echoed this concern. They stressed that peace must follow international law and condemned Israel's actions, calling them clear violations of global agreements. The GCC demanded an end to the aggression and full access to humanitarian aid for Gaza's reconstruction.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) added its voice, accusing Israel of war crimes, including genocide and forced starvation. UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned that the situation in Gaza is at a "breaking point."

Meanwhile, Iran called for sanctions against Israel and pushed for Palestine to gain full UN membership. They urged the international community not to let any nation block the process.

A follow-up summit will be held during the UN General Assembly in September, where global leaders are expected to renew efforts for a fair and lasting two-state solution.
