Title: Arab-led Temporary Administration in Gaza Considered After War
Post by: Abdullah on Aug 14, 2025, 02:22 PM
Reports suggest that Israel's government now supports the idea of an Arab-led temporary administration for Gaza once the conflict ends. Shany Mor, a former director for foreign policy on Israel's national security council and now a lecturer at Reichman University, predicted inevitable migration.

"When this war ends, Gaza will be in such a terrible state that recovery will be impossible without some large, even temporary migration," Mor said. "It won't be the agreed policy of the Arab administration, but it will definitely happen to a limited yet significant extent."

Israel's international standing has suffered due to the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Britain, France, and other major allies have pledged to recognise Palestine, a move criticised by Israel as rewarding terrorism.

New Zealand's Prime Minister Christopher Luxon sharply criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating he had "lost the plot" and labelling the planned occupation of Gaza City as "utterly unacceptable."

Meanwhile, the United Nations has placed both Israel and Russia "on notice" over allegations of conflict-related sexual violence.
