Humility (tawāḍuʿ) is one of the most beloved qualities in Islam. It reflects a believer's recognition of Allah's greatness and his own weakness. Whether in worship or daily interactions, humility beautifies the character and earns Allah's favor.

Allah says:

"And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth humbly..."
— Surah Al-Furqān (25:63)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Whoever humbles himself for the sake of Allah, Allah will raise him in status."
— Sahih Muslim (2588)

The Prophet ﷺ, despite his high rank, lived simply, sat on the floor, mended his clothes, and walked with the poor. The companions followed his example. Umar ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb (RA) once carried water on his back, showing that leadership and humility can coexist.

In worship, humility (khushūʿ) is essential for prayer to be accepted. Standing in ṣalāh with awe and submissiveness reflects the state of the heart.

"Successful indeed are the believers—those who humble themselves in their prayers."
— Surah Al-Mu'minūn (23:1–2)

Humility brings peace, opens hearts, and leads to Jannah.
