Even lifeless things showed deep love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Trees cried, mountains trembled, and stones greeted him with peace. These miracles, recorded in authentic hadiths, remind us of his unmatched status. On this blessed Friday, let's send abundant salawat upon the beloved Messenger ﷺ who touched all of creation.

The love of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ extended beyond human beings. His mercy, character, and nearness were so powerful that even objects we consider lifeless—like trees, mountains, and stones—expressed emotions around him. Their reactions to his presence show the miraculous and universal impact of his mission and personality.

One of the most touching stories is that of the crying date palm tree. The Prophet ﷺ used to lean on a tree trunk while giving Friday sermons. When a companion built a wooden pulpit for him to stand on, he moved away from the tree. That Friday, the tree cried out in sorrow.

The companions who were present in the masjid heard the tree cry like a small child. The sound was full of sadness and longing. It missed the Prophet ﷺ being close to it and delivering knowledge by its side. This was not imagination—it was a real sound that moved everyone.

The Prophet ﷺ stepped down from the new pulpit and lovingly embraced the tree. He placed his blessed hand on it and spoke gently to it. Like a mother calming her crying child, the Prophet ﷺ soothed the trunk until it stopped weeping. It had truly felt the separation.

He later explained why it cried. The tree had become used to hearing the remembrance of Allah and sacred teachings from the Prophet ﷺ. When this stopped, it felt the loss deeply. Imagine—a tree longing for the words of truth and dhikr. Should we not long for them even more?

This miracle is reported by several companions including Jabir bin Abdullah and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). It is found in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the most authentic books of hadith. Because it is narrated by so many people, it is classified as mutawaatir.

Mutawaatir means it was reported by so many people from different chains that it cannot be doubted or fabricated. The fact that this miracle was witnessed by many companions gives it great weight and confirms that even a lifeless tree recognized and loved the Prophet ﷺ.

Another miracle involves Mount Uhud. One day, the Prophet ﷺ climbed this mountain with his closest companions—Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them). As soon as they stood on it, the mountain began to shake under their feet.

The Prophet ﷺ touched the mountain with his foot and said, "Be calm, O Uhud! For upon you stands a Prophet, a Siddiq, and two martyrs." The mountain immediately calmed down. His words calmed a massive mountain—just as they calm our hearts today.

In another narration, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Uhud is a mountain that loves us, and we love it." This wasn't just a figure of speech. He meant it literally. A mountain, made of stone, loved the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. That's how deep his connection was with the world around him.

Reflect on this: if a mountain can love the Prophet ﷺ, and a tree can cry for him, what about us? We have hearts, minds, and souls. We've been given the ability to think, feel, and believe. Our love for him should be stronger than that of stone and wood.

Another miracle involves a stone in Makkah. Before the Prophet ﷺ received revelation, he would often walk by a particular stone. He later told his companions, "I recognize the stone in Makkah that used to give me salam (peace) before my prophethood, and I recognize it even now."

The Prophet ﷺ remembered the voice of that stone years later. It greeted him with peace before he had even announced his mission. This shows that even a small stone in Makkah recognized who he truly was—a beloved Messenger of Allah, chosen to bring light to the world.

These stories show that the love for the Prophet ﷺ wasn't limited to people. All of creation—trees, mountains, and even stones—felt his presence, respected his message, and reacted to his absence. His light and mercy reached beyond the human world and touched everything around him.

As his followers today, we should feel inspired by these miracles. If a tree missed his voice, if a mountain shook in awe, and if a stone offered him greetings, how much more should our hearts respond to his legacy with love, longing, and obedience?

Most importantly, on this blessed day of Friday, we are encouraged to send salawat—blessings and peace—upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Every time we say "Allahumma salli ala Muhammad," our love grows, our hearts are purified, and our salawat is presented to him by name.

Let these miraculous stories soften our hearts, deepen our faith, and renew our commitment to following the Prophet ﷺ. May we love him more than the tree, the mountain, and the stone—and may our lives reflect that love in word and action. Ameen.
