💧Zakat ul-Fitr is obligatory for every Muslim, even if they are young.

💧 It serves as purification for the fasting person and as sustenance for the needy. A person expresses gratitude to Allah through it for completing the fast of Ramadan.

💧A person must pay it for themselves and for those they provide for if they have surplus wealth beyond their necessary expenses and essential needs.

💧One may appoint someone else to distribute it on their behalf.

💧The amount required per person is one sa' of wheat, dates, barley, raisins, or dried cheese, or any staple food that people commonly consume, such as rice.

💧It is recommended to give it on behalf of a fetus, it is not obligatory.

💧Debt does not exempt a person from paying Zakat al-Fitr unless the creditor demands repayment, and no surplus remains after settling the debt.

💧*Time of Payment*: It may be given one or two days before Eid. It becomes obligatory at sunset on the night of Eid, and the best time to give it is in the morning before the Eid prayer.

💧If someone fails to give it on time, it does not become void, and they must still pay it later.

💧It must be given to the poor and needy.

💧If a recipient cannot personally receive it at the time of payment, they may authorize someone else to accept it on their behalf.

💧 The Sunnah is to distribute it to the eligible recipients among the Muslims in one's own country to support them and meet their needs.

💧A person may give their Zakat al-Fitr to a single recipient or divide it among multiple recipients. Likewise, multiple people may give their Zakat to one recipient or distribute it among many.

💧 Once a rightful recipient receives Zakat al-Fitr, they are free to use it as they wish, whether by selling it or otherwise.

💧If a recipient receives more than their necessary expenses and essential needs due to an abundance of donations, they must, in turn, pay Zakat al-Fitr for themselves and those they support.
