Spain has strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on the Nasser Hospital in Gaza, describing it as a clear violation of international humanitarian law. According to Spain's Foreign Ministry, the assault, which struck a major medical facility, represents a "flagrant and unacceptable" act against civilians and essential infrastructure.

The statement from Madrid came after reports confirmed that at least 20 Palestinians were killed during the strike. Among the victims were five journalists, a firefighter, and several patients, highlighting the devastating impact on both emergency workers and ordinary citizens seeking medical care.

Health authorities in Gaza explained that the attack targeted the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, a critical hospital in southern Gaza that had been sheltering many wounded and displaced people. Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as staff and relatives struggled to move patients out of damaged wards.

Spain emphasized that hospitals must always remain safe zones during conflicts and should never be subjected to military action. The government reiterated its call for the protection of medical workers, humanitarian staff, and journalists, who continue to risk their lives amid ongoing violence.

International reactions have continued to grow, with many rights organizations urging for accountability. Spain's condemnation adds to mounting pressure on Israel to abide by international law and respect civilian life in war zones.

The attack on the Nasser Hospital once again raises global concerns about the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where medical facilities are already stretched and thousands of civilians remain at risk.
