Saudi Arabia's top leaders have expressed sympathy after a deadly school attack in Austria. The tragedy happened at a secondary school in the Graz region, where 10 people were killed and 11 others were injured.

King Salman of Saudi Arabia called the shooting a shameful criminal act. He sent a heartfelt message to Austria's President Alexander Van der Bellen, sharing sorrow with the Austrian people and families of the victims.

The King also offered prayers for those who were hurt, wishing them a fast and full recovery. His message was shared by the official Saudi Press Agency.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also reached out with words of comfort. As the Kingdom's prime minister, he echoed the King's message to the Austrian leader.

Austrian police confirmed the shooter legally owned the weapons used. He carried out the attack with a shotgun and pistol before taking his own life.
